Must visit London Cocktail Bar – Genuine Liquorette

Must visit London Cocktail Bar – Genuine Liquorette

London certainly isn’t short of cocktail bars that’s for sure. I recently checked out newly opened Genuine Liquorette and it’s definitely a must visit if you’re in town.

Located in Fitzrovia, it’s in such an ideal location. There is an upstairs and a downstairs bar both with very different ambiences. The downstairs bar is more chilled and you can order pizzas with a choice of six exclusive cocktails on tap. I mean who doesn’t want pizza and cocktails?!

The main bar is upstairs where you can get all the classic cocktails with a slight twist.

What makes this cocktail bar unique is all of the ‘Cha-Chunker’ drinks (miniature bottles of liquor in soft drink cans). Basically they use a machine to pierce a large hole in the can of drink and then insert a miniature bottle of alcohol! Definitely Instagram – worthy!

The interior is really fun and quirky. With a wall full of liquor bottles which are charged by the ounce. You’ll be spoilt for choice.

If you’re looking for a cool new bar in London then I would really recommend checking this place out!

I recently teamed up with The Bentall Centre, a large shopping centre based in Kingston Upon Thames. I was invited down for the day to shop for a festival inspired outfit. Read more to see what I got up to…..

The Bentall Centre has such a great variety of shops and it has something for everyone. The centre has late night shopping, a huge multi story car park and is a short walk away from the station so it’s very convenient for a full days shopping.

I decided to try a few different stores to shop for my outfit.

  • Zara
  • TM Lewin
  • Cos
  • H&M
  • New Look Men

I had to think to myself which ‘LOOK’ was I going for. I have a few weddings coming up this summer and a few festivals so I had an idea on what pieces I would be looking for. After looking around the shops and sticking to my budget, I managed to purchase 5 items.  I picked out 3 printed shirts, 1 pair of ripped jeans and 1 pair of smart-casual trousers.

The printed shirts are really on trend at the moment and they are perfect for the festivals I have coming up. Zara and New Look Men both had such a great selection of patterned shirts. You can see below how I styled my new Zara shirt and white Zara jeans at Wireless Festival. The weather was really hot so the relaxed loose fit shirt kept me cool for the day. Keep an eye on my Instagram to see how i style the rest of my festival outfits.

After a long day of shopping it is always nice to relax and grab some food. Luckily The Bentall Centre has a great selection of restaurants to dine in. I decided to try somewhere new and go for Lebanese at Maison du Mezze. Firstly let me say how friendly the staff are, from the moment I stepped in the service was amazing! There was a huge variety on the menu from cold mezze (hummus , tabouleh etc) to shawarma and mixed seafood. I chose the grilled scallops, Mixed Grill & grilled halloumi and each dish was delicious, but my favourite was the scallops. For dessert I had some of their home made baklava drizzled with honey which was really good. I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you’re in Kingston,  I can’t wait to go back!

To top off a great day shopping I stayed at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel located a few minutes walk from The Bentall Centre. When I checked in the hotel kindly upgraded me to the King Corner Suite located on the 5th floor. The room was really spacious and even had a nice little balcony which was great as it was a really nice summer evening. The hotel has a modern bar with an outdoor terrace to enjoy food and drinks. The staff working in the bar were really nice (great cocktails) and the service was exceptional. The hotel also has a gym but unfortunately due to my late night and the bed being too comfortable I decided to have a lie in. In the morning I went down for breakfast which was served until 11am. There was a great selection (cooked and continental) and they cater for all dietary requirements. If you are looking to head to Kingston for the day to go shopping and enjoy the bars/restaurants along the river then I would 100% recommend visiting The Bentall Centre and staying the night at the Double Tree hotel.

As some of you may know I recently got back from a two-week trip to Santorini, it had been on my bucket list for a while and it certainly exceeded my expectations! I stayed in a few hotels during my trip but the Rocabella Hotel really was a highlight of my stay.

The hotel is situated in Imerovigli, which is in between Thira (Fira) and Oia. If you’re planning on visiting Santorini i would definitely recommend staying in Imerovigli as its much quieter and the sunsets are INCREDIBLE. Oia is beautiful but if you’re planning on watching the sunset it gets extremely busy in peak season so you have to get there early to get the best spot.

I stayed at the Rocabella for 7 nights and booked the EXECUTIVE CALDERA VIEW ROOM WITH OUTDOOR MINI PLUNGE POOL. Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh juice and a bottle of wine and fruit platter in our room. The room was amazing, it was really spacious with a huge outdoor terrace and its own mini plunge pool looking out on to the breathtaking Caldera. The interior of the room was all white with simple, minimal decor, this complimented the white washed buildings perfectly.  One thing I would say when booking a room is that there is a difference between the Caldera view and the sea view rooms. The Caldera view you can watch the idyllic sunsets from the luxury of your terrace.

Breakfast was included in our booking and I can honestly say it was one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had! and thats a big statement to make!! Breakfast was served every morning until 11am, you could choose whether to sit inside or outside with 360 views of the Caldera. There was a breakfast buffet with pastries, fruit, yogurt, meats, bread and cheeses. You could then order from the a la carte menu which had a great selection from Acai bowls to Eggs Royale or pancakes with greek yoghurt. Everything was all fresh and home-made which was heavenly. I think i tried pretty much everything on the menu and it was all exceptional!

All of the staff at the Rocabella really went above and beyond to look after myself and my wife during our stay with them. We were greeted every morning at breakfast and all of the staff around the hotel would say hello or ask us if we were enjoying our trip and if we needed anything.

The amenities at the hotel were fantastic, as well as a hotel there is also a spa and a gym. There was 4 swimming pools with a cocktail bar and a main pool bar which served food all day.  The hotel does host a lot of weddings, even though we were notified of this I would bear this in mind when booking your stay. For more information visit their website here. They also have a sister hotel in Mykonos which looks beaut!

Have you guys been to Santorini before? Let me know what you think!

Hi guys, so todays blog post is all about my style guide for the races. All of us gents secretly enjoy making that extra bit of effort to look sharp. At the races we all get our best suits on and head down to enjoy a fun day with our friends/family.

There is one special event I want to talk about Mr Green Ladies & Gents evening at Chester Races on 13th July.  They host a ”Best Dressed” contest and I want to help inspire you to look your best and maximise your chances of winning the contest.

For me personally, if I am heading to the races I would probably go all out and choose a 3 piece suit. I think the waistcoat always brings that extra bit of class. This was one of my favourite looks that could be ideal for the races. I picked up this suit from Burton for less than £150. You could also add a pocket square to complete the look.

As we are finally getting a decent summer in the UK (!!) why not consider going for a suit in a lighter colour such as a beige or light pink. I really love this suit from Reiss.

This suit has a real summer vibe and will definitely help you stand out. If you think the full suit is too much then why not swap the trousers for some  dark chinos. Complete the look with some loafers.

This light pink suit from Asos will definitely make you stand out for all the right reasons and is perfect in this weather. I always prefer skinny/slim fit suits, for me they just fit better.

Let me know what you guys think of these looks. Feel free to ask me any questions!

Holiday season is upon us and with the temperature rising in the UK it is time to invest in some new summer pieces for your wardrobe.

I am going to show you a few of my favourite summer pieces I picked out from Burton.

I have always been a fan of short sleeve shirts especially in the summer. For me I like to show off my tattoos but it also keeps you cooler on these hot days. My first choice is the Monochrome leaf print shirt. Everyman needs a printed shirt in his wardrobe this summer. They are really on trend at the moment and wether your on holiday or at a festival these always look really good.

My second choice was something a little smarter. I chose the short sleeve light denim wash shirt. Most men own a denim shirt and they will always be in fashion so you can’t go wrong! You can wear this shirt in more of a casual style with short chinos like i have styled below or it’s also nice to wear on a evening to dinner or drinks. This denim shirt goes really well with beige chinos.

This time of year most people have a holiday booked up. We all like to be sitting in the sun, by the pool or at the beach so you need to invest in some swim shorts. Floral is very on trend this summer so why not add a little colour to your wardrobe and get these shorts.

Burton is know for producing really nice suits. For the summer season they have released a few really nice colours for all occasions. You can style suits in different ways but for me personally I have been loving the smart-casual look. As you can see in my picture, just by wearing trainers and and a plain T shirt you can pull off the casual style. I picked out the Raspberry Slim Fit suit admittedly I was a bit nervous when i picked out this colour but since wearing it I have had a lot of compliments. The slim fit is perfect and gives it that tailored feel. Burton have suits for all occasions so if you have a wedding coming up or going to the horse racing then check out their collection.

ME Hotel London

ME Hotel London

I stayed at the ME hotel in London last weekend and Easter Sunday, this had been on my list for a while and it didn’t disappoint! The hotel is located in the Strand which is a few minutes walk from Covent Garden, River Thames/Southbank and Somerset House. It’s the perfect hotel for weekend away to explore the city.

The hotel has an effortlessly stylish feel about it. It boasts the super sleek Radio Rooftop Bar on the 10th Floor with panoramic views of the city. It’s the perfect place for a drink with friends and they have a great selection of cocktails .

Upon arrival we were offered a glass of prosecco whilst checking in and our bags were taken up to the room. The reception area is located on the first floor and is absolutely incredible! We were taken up to our room and they had put a bottle of wine in the room for us along with a cheese board, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolates (SO GOOD!).

We stayed in the ‘Chic Suite’ which had 2 balcony’s overlooking the city and floor to ceiling windows.  The room was extremely spacious (especially for central London!) it had a separate lounge area with a sofa, tv and a well stocked mini bar. And the marble bathroom was amazing! With two bali showers, a large bath with double sinks and a separate dressing table.

As we were staying in one of their suites we had the benefit of the 24 hour personalised Aura service. They very kindly sent a bottle of prosecco to our room at around 8pm (sundown service) and some bottled water / chocolates. This attention to detail really makes the stay extra special. They even went to the effort of sending a playstation with FIFA for me to play.

The service is always impeccable at the Melia hotels and they definitely pride themselves on this.

We dined at their modern steakhouse STK. I have previously visited STK in Milan and Las Vegas and this one definitely lived up to my expectations. The food was incredible and the service was very good. They have a really good deal on Open Table where you can get a 3 course set menu and a glass of champagne for £30 each!

Have you visited the ME London before? Let me know!

Square Four Watch Box

I have always been a fan of watches and seem to be starting a nice little collection. For me there is a timepiece for every occasion, I like to match the colours and styles with my outfits. I have always been a fan of accessories so it would be very rare to see me without a watch on.

My shelf started to look very messy with my watches laying around everywhere. It also took up too much room keeping all the separate watch boxes out. I do travel a lot as well and I like to have a selection of watches with me and obviously I don’t want them to get damaged so need something to put them in for safe keeping.

I came across the Aspinal square four watch box in one of their stores and it immediately caught my eye. The box is so stylish, on the outside you have the deep shine amazon croc print Italian calf leather and on the inside its lavish soft suede. The four suede cushions can accommodate all styles of watches. For security it also comes with a really nice solid brass lock and key.

If you are paying a lot of money for a watch and have a collection why not invest in some where to store them and make them look very presentable. You can purchase this square four watch box for £315 just click the link below. They also do a single travel watch roll and a five watch box.

Wondering what to get mum for Mother’s Day? The big day is under a week away (Sunday 11th !) so I’ve put together my top picks from Debenhams to help you find the perfect present. I love my mum to bits and I am a proper mummy’s boy! so I always look to spoil her as much as possible.

Last month I spent a weekend in Barcelona for my fiancées birthday, I have been to Barcelona before so I was really excited to go back! We stayed at the Meliá Barcelona Sky for 2 nights – after such a great experience at the ME hotel in Milan I couldn’t wait to see what the Meliá Barcelona had to offer.

The hotel is located around 1.5 mile from the city centre and just a 10 minute walk from the beach.  It is also a few minutes walk from Poblenou Metro station which is a quick and easy way to get into downtown Barca.

The Meliá definitely go above and beyond with their customer service, it really is exceptional.  When checking into the hotel we were offered complimentary refreshments and even had our own private check in area and reception.

We stayed in one of the suites on the 21st floor which was part of ‘The Level’, the five-star section of the hotel. The rooms were extremely bright, spacious and modern with floor to ceiling windows showcasing breathtaking views of the city and Mediterranean Sea. We were welcomed with a bottle of Cava and some chocolate strawberries in our room  – this was a nice little touch! The room had everything you need from a Nespresso coffee machine, an iPod docking station, surround sound system, robes / slippers and a well stocked mini bar. The bathroom was amazing, with double sinks, a walk in shower (literally incredible!) and a bath situated perfectly so you could enjoy the stunning view.

As we were staying at The Level we had access to an exclusive lounge which had complimentary drinks and snacks all day from 12pm – 7pm. This was a great perk to the hotel!

The hotel has two restaurants. ‘Dos Cielos’ which is a Michelin star restaurant located on the 24th floor, unfortunately this was closed during our stay so we didn’t get to experience this.  However the terrace bar was open and had stunning 360 views of the city and was a great place to chill, have a drink and take in the scenery. The second restaurant is Merkado which is located on the ground floor by the hotel lobby – this had more of a casual vibe to it.

We also visited the Spa at the hotel which was very relaxing. The hotel has a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and Turkish Bath. They also offer a wide range of treatments including massages and facials.

Meliá hotels is definitely becomingone of my favourite hotel chains, the service and attention to detail is outstanding. I can’t wait for my next stay!
